Raleigh NC| Does Joe the Plumber have a PR firm? He should.
Joe the Plumber We Want You!
When Joe Wurzelbacher questioned Senator Barack Obama’s tax plan during a campaign visit the senator made in Toledo, Ohio, he probably did not know that this conversation would be remembered, let alone one of the main topics of Tuesday’s final presidential debate.
Wurzelbacher, after working 12 hour days as a plumber for several years, is considering buying a small plumbing business. His issue with the Obama plan comes with the fact that purchasing this $250,000 company may cost him more money in the near future. “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?” Wurzelbacher asked Obama. This concern left Senator John McCain with an opportunity to use the conversation between the plumber and the presidential hopeful against Obama. McCain stated that under a McCain-Palin presidency, high earning Americans would not be penalized for their hard work. Conversely, Obama reminded viewers that there was a time when the plumber could not afford to purchase his own business and that, that was the time when he needed a tax cut.
One thing is for sure, no matter who you think won the debate, the real winner is Joe Wurzelbacher, who should open Joe Wurzelbacher Plumbing tomorrow. Joe now has one of the most powerful weapons in public relations…a good story to tell. If Joe positions himself correctly, he will be cashing in on this situation for years to come. What Joe needs now is a quality public relations firm to help push his story and keep his name in the news. So give us a call, Joe the Plumber, we’d love to handle your public relations.
